Beautiful day by the sea…

I  had to run around and get things done today, and it was so beautiful.  It is suppose to rain in the morning when I take off for Las Vegas… Please say a prayer for me I am getting nervous , I am so wanting to get over the fear of flying. I haven't flown in 15 years.  Have a great weekend and a blessed Easter  Celebration.

She is going to be a member of our family…

Her name is Elli… she will be joining us when she is old enough.. Elli is only a couple of days old.  Is she not sooooo cute.  She is a little Chihuahua a little sister for Bug.

The Oregon Coast has seen sunshine…

It has been so beautiful here for the past week.. we are heading back into rain… but the week of sun is going to make it bearable.

I have loved driving around with my sun roof open and the wind blowing threw the car. I hope everyone has gotten a little bit of sunshine in their week.

Rain Rain Go Away...

I really have had enough of the rain and hail, rain and hail, wind and rain, enough alreay... *grin* I hope you are having a wonderful week.

I have heard that if you don't like the weather…

At the beach … wait a few minutes  it will change… and it sure did this weekend… we had rain… we had huge hail… we had snow… we had grey sky… and we had beautiful sunshine. Here is a picture of the hail.. I didn't get one of the snow.. that was about 3am and I didn't feel like going out and taking a picture.

We finalized our trip to Las Vegas.. so my friends… please pray for my sister and I we are terrified of flying. My sister has never flown in her life. and in my fifty something *grin* years I have only flown 4 times.  We are excited and nervous at the same time.

There is five of us going.. my sister, her best friend.. our cousin .. and our sister in law.

We haven't firmed up anything yet.. as to what we are going to do.. I know my cousin and I want to sneak off for 2 hours and go to a quilt shop that is suppose to be awesome.

I would like to get tickets to see O, Cirque du Soleil's exquisite aquatic performance.

We are going for my sisters 50th BD. She really wants to go on a gondola ride at the Venetian Hotel also.

I should get a little rest as I am volunteering at the hospital today.

Happy Birthday Brother!

I love you !

I haven't posted in such a long time.. I really have not been into it much since mom passed. I am feeling like I would like to start again.. so I started out to do that tonight when I decided to change the look of my blog from Christmas. It is amazing how much time that can take.

Just a couple quick things since I am so tired.. Robert and I spent the afternoon working on cleaning and organizing the garage again.. it felt so very good to purge again. We are trying to get ready to set up my office/sewing/craft room. Sunday or Monday we will go to Ikea for a desk that I found there, they have a sale going on that goes through Monday.

Also we had the pleasure of babysitting the cutest little girl.. Robert called and told me that a little girl needed to be taken care of until Monday or Tuesday and he said we could if I wanted to.. here is a couple of photos of her.. Bug loved her and they are having a wonderful time playing nonstop. She looks very small next to him in the photo but it is just the angle. They are about the same size but he has more width *grin*




Her name is Chula and she is the cutest and the most lovey girl. I wish that we could keep her. I know that Bug will cry when she leaves.

Oh and one other thing.. I finally took my Christmas tree down today also.. wow.. that was a chore but I enjoyed it. All of the ornaments were wired on... because remember I bought it at the Festival Of Trees and they have to make sure that everything is secured on the tree so that when it is delivered nothing falls off. I was able to get it all boxed up and ready for storage wooo hooo.

oh and one more one more thing... My mom's Birthday is next Sunday so my sister thought she would come down and spend the weekend with me. I am really looking forward to her being here.

I am glad the rain has stopped.. I don't mind when I am at home.. but being gone and being trapped.. I don't like that feeling.

Snow By The Sea

I am so excited...

I had to show you these.... I was wrapping presents and I thought I don't know where my tags are.. so I came up with this.. my daughter had done some a few years back except she did them from paper.. I am doing mine digital. The kids will love them.

I live near the beach.....

You wouldn't believe it by the snow photos.... I don't know what made me look out the window at 1:30am but I did and I couldn't believe how it was snowing... we usually get snow and it will last for about a day and a half. We have had snow since Sunday and now it is really coming down again. I must tell you that it does make my heart sing... I love love love it.

These are taken at night so they aren't the greatest and I lightened the snow ones so you could see them better.

The first one was around 5:30pm before I left for bunco... and the snow ones were like I said at 1:30am I am hoping that the roads will be drivable later so that I can take some photos by the beach.

Festival of Trees

We went to the Festival of Trees.. it is an event/auction that is put on by our local hospital to raise money for large items that they need. Last year we didn't go because the storm we had knocked the power out of the whole city for 6 days, and we couldn't go on the date that it was rescheduled because we had another engagement. Needless to say the auction this year is to buy a emergency generator for the North Coast Clinic.

It is always a lot of fun and the trees are beautiful... they have a silent auction on wonderful gifts and wreaths... then a beautiful dinner and then a live auction for the decorated trees and of course it is never just a tree, many of them come with extras such as dinners and gift certificates, also nights in resorts etc... you can spend a lot or a little and then at the end of the night you can buy the center piece on the tables.

I really did have a good time seeing people I had not seen for a very long time, my favorite artist Jeffrey Hull and his wife were special guests because one of his pieces was being auctioned off, it was awesome to see how much it went for.

I really am still around...

Thank you to everyone that has let me know they are still praying... Thank you so much for my friend Barb... whom always checks up on me and always has such sweet things to say to help me get through rough times.

Thanksgiving was quiet.. I truly loved and enjoyed my son and his family being here there is still every once in a while the sadness would sneak in and grab me.. thank GOD those boys are so funny and would get me out of it. I know it will take time but I do know I am being carried through it even when I feel overwhelmed with grief.

I love this photo.. I did not take many.. but this one makes me smile.. his daddy use to do the very same thing when he was his age.

My sweet little grandsons blessed there grandma with a virus they had... I am fighting it and Robert is taking very good care of me. As soon as I can get past the headache and sore throat I am going to start working on a rag quilt for a Christmas gift.. I have never made one before so wish me luck *grin* This is a link to the website that I got the idea from. Kevin & Amanda I will post pictures when I get it done.
